Hi Mr Bartholomew
Just a short note to say I appreciate and admire your photos - they're wonderful.

I especially like your shots of the Pike Place Markets and some of the colourful characters around there (really interesting subjects). I was an exchange student in the US in 1990 from Australia, and had a great haircut at the Markets - I think it cost me three bucks!

Keep up the good work.

PS I appreciated some of your comment's on the "Chrisendom" blog: some theological musings back in about Feb., but I guess they're another story.

Hi Chris

Thanks for posting an encouraging comment, I needed it. A $3 haircut in 1990 was a real bargain. There used to be a "barbers college" on First Ave with a block or two of the Market but that was gone long before 1990.

Please do be encouraged - both my wife and I like your work. Actually, would you mind if I linked my blog to yours?

As for the $3 "haircut", I use the term loosely - it may have only been an undercut using clippers. I'll have to dig out the photo and have a look.

Don't mind at all. I set up this blog just so I could post comments on other blogs. The photos were just an after thought to give people something to look at.
