This was taken at the Pike Place Market in Seattle in front of the Joe Desimone Bridge which no longer exists. Joe Desimone was one of the founders of the Farmer's Market at Pike Place. I went to high school with one of his nephews Jim Desimone.

The photo was taken with permission (obviously). The lens was a Nikkor 85mm f1.8 a favorite for shooting people. The film used was Kodak Record film 800. It was developed hard to exaggerate the grain and printed on Agfa #4 paper to exaggerate the contrast in the grain structure. The same day and roll of film as the old man sitting with the shopping bag.

These were taken on April 14, 2005. This fellow with the guitar was singing for his own enjoyment out there on the pier with his latte cup and guitar case, the early morning sun was warming the wooden planks and people were walking around in the mist.
